Candy Hearts

New song alert! “Candy Hearts” is the story of a fun, indulgent and shallow relationship. The kind of relationship that is exciting but going nowhere. Inspiration came from many past love affairs. It started with this cool, dark instrumental track where we sampled our friend’s dog growling. The sound is buried deep now, but the feel permeates. It’s dark and sweet. Watch and Listen here.

Lie With Me

“Lie With Me” is our most personal song yet. It’s the story of the night we fell in love. We were just friends and both in relationships when one night at SXSW in Austin, TX, fueled by MDMA our chemistry completely changed. We unexpectedly fell head over heels for each other. Soon after we had a love child on the way and were planning our wedding. This song is about the guilt and excitement we felt. Its about falling in love when you’re not supposed to. FYI We’re still going strong. 🙂

We Made A Board Game!

In between writing songs and canceling shows during the pandemic, we’ve been developing a board game. A game for adults where you are a cult leader. Perform strange rituals, collect followers and take over the world. It’s called Disciples and it’s a competitive game for 2 – 4 players. It’s the perfect game for your lockdown pod. We just launched the project on Kickstarter.

Mother

Before all this madness we went to legendary Ardent Studios (Led Zeppelin, The White Stripes, Isaac Hayes) in Jeffrey’s hometown of Memphis, TN. We had just finished touring and had been playing a couple covers songs in our set. We decided to record them live in the studio while we were in Memphis for the holidays. We spent one night recording this one w Joshua Clair Zeigler on drums and Adam Hill engineering – A cover of Danzig’s “Mother”. Hope you’re all well xox
